WHO WE ARE

Ryan embarked on his plastering career in 2008 on the Gold Coast, initially as a maintenance patch and repair trainee. His keen attention to detail quickly garnered recognition from his first day. After two years of residential maintenance, Ryan joined a sheeting crew for a year, refining his skills as a contract sheeter. Following this, he returned to maintenance in a commercial setting for an additional 12 months.

Ryan then seized an opportunity in Western Australia, driving trucks in the mines, providing a unique perspective on Australia. Despite the valuable experience, his passion for plastering persisted. Upon concluding his time in the mines, Ryan continued traveling Australia, eventually settling in North Queensland, where he joined a contract setting/finishing team. Over the next three years, he advanced to a leading hand role.

Returning to the Gold Coast, Ryan pursued his newfound love for setting in various residential, commercial, and industrial projects over the next four years. In 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryan founded Gold Coast Drywall. After a year of successful operations, an opportunity arose for Ryan to elevate his skills as a supervisor for a prominent building company.

Over the subsequent three years, he immersed himself in carpentry, site supervision, project management, and building, acquiring a comprehensive skill set. Following an unexpected opportunity, Ryan revitalised Gold Coast Drywall. Currently residing on Russell Island in South East Queensland, he serves as a small business owner, dedicated to meeting the needs of the Bay Islands communities & South East Queensland while continually refining his expertise on various levels.
